We’re proud to be part of the thriving startup scene here in Seattle. It’s great to be surrounded by so many other people and businesses building cool and useful new things, both in the technology sector and beyond. Part of what makes a great startup ecosystem is the ability to come together and talk about what we’ve learned from our successes and failures, plus other important issues, such as where to get the best phở.
Seattle Startup Week is a free five-day event designed to facilitate these conversations and celebrate the city’s startup success. Sessions are held from Oct. 26 to Oct. 30 in a variety of spaces all over town. There are panels about hiring and getting hired, about sustainable design, intellectual property, funding, how to fail better, and more. There’s even a pub crawl!
We’d particularly like to invite you to hear PlayFab CEO James Gwertzman, who is taking part in one of the funding panel discussions: Raise Capital Like A Superstar. He’ll be joined by other startup executives to talk about the challenges and opportunities that come with seeking financing from seed investors and venture capital funds. The event is at Wed., Oct. 28 at 6:30 pm.
